Course Overview

  • Assess the thermal environment through measurement and other methods.
  • Evaluate risk from exposure to thermal stress.
  • Suggest appropriate control methods for the thermal environment.

Personnel managing workplace safety and health, workplace safety and health professionals, and consultants and professionals who are involved in the management of hazardous substances.

Course Assessment

A multi-choice question (MCQ) examination will be held on day 5 which is an open-book examination based on the student manual.

Pre-requisite and Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN)

Whilst there is no pre-requisite for this course, it is recommended that attendee is certified with the Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene (OHTA201) certification. Ideally, a WPLN Level 5 or equivalent IELTS 5-6 would be recommended to ensure quality comprehension of the subject matter. 

Examination resits must be completed within 12 months from the date of your first attempt at the qualification. Get in touch with us for clarification and to register. 

Certificate

OHTA will issue a certificate of successful course completion to candidates who have successfully completed the course.

This course is an elective module for the International Occupational Hygiene Certificate.
